172-LED Solar Motion Light – Remote & 3 Modes

Place the light where you need illumination and the solar panel where it can receive sunlight. This 172-LED motion light uses a separate solar panel connected by a 16ft cable, giving you more flexibility than a light whose panel must remain directly above it. It is useful beside an entrance, garage, patio or sheltered passage where the lighting position and the best charging position may differ.

The split layout also allows the lamp to sit inside a suitable garage or shed while the panel remains outside in daylight. The cable links the two parts, so the panel does not need to receive sunlight through the room in which the lamp is installed. An adjustable lamp bracket lets you change the direction of the light after positioning it.

Three modes provide different night-time behaviours. Strong-light motion mode keeps the lamp off until movement is detected, then lights the area for approximately 15 seconds. Dim-light motion mode provides a low background light and increases brightness when movement is detected. The steady-light mode provides a reduced continuous light at night. These choices let you favour motion-triggered illumination or a visible background light for the location.

A remote control is included for switching and choosing settings from an accessible position. There is also a mode button on the lamp itself. The motion sensor has a stated detection range of approximately 16–26ft, with detection affected by the installation and surrounding conditions.

Solar charging replenishes the built-in 2,200mAh battery during daylight for night-time use. The panel needs an exposed position where shade does not block its charging surface. Mounting the lamp separately is particularly helpful under an overhang, where the lamp can illuminate the doorway while the panel sits beyond the shaded area.

This combination of a separate panel, connecting cable, remote and three lighting modes gives you practical control over both placement and operation. It suits a nearby access area where you want automatic light as someone approaches, or a lower background light without running a mains-power cable to the lamp.
