Product Description
Carry an audible door alert between home and temporary accommodation with this portable door-stop alarm. The wedge sits on the floor at the inside base of a compatible inward-opening door. When the door pushes down on its pressing plate, the alarm sounds, giving you a local warning of movement at that doorway. It is useful for a hotel room, apartment, dorm room or other place where you want an additional alert alongside the door's ordinary lock.
The alarm is rated at 120dB, providing a loud audible signal rather than a phone notification. Three sensitivity positions—low, medium and high—let you adjust the response, with the high setting providing vibration-sensitive operation. The slider sits on the side of the wedge, while a separate on/off switch controls the alarm function.
A stainless-steel pressing plate forms the sloping upper surface. The wedge shape provides a physical doorstop function as well as triggering the sound when switched on. With the alarm switched off, it can be used as an ordinary doorstop. The textured underside helps it grip the floor, although resistance depends on the floor surface and door arrangement.
Battery power keeps setup independent of mains wiring. One 9V battery is required and is not included. The battery compartment is underneath the body, making the power supply accessible without taking apart the pressing mechanism.
The wedge measures approximately 13.5 × 4.3 × 4 cm, making it compact enough to pack with travel items. The supported door clearance is 0.6–1.2 inches. Its working position requires the door to open towards the wedge and make contact with the plate. Place it at the inside base of the closed door with the alarm on for an audible alert during your stay.
