Smart Door/Window Sensor – Remote Opening Notifications

Keep track of whether a door, window or drawer has been opened with this two-piece magnetic contact sensor. One piece sits on the moving part and the other beside it, allowing the sensor to detect when the two pieces separate or come back together.

Opening and closing notifications provide a practical way to follow changes at an entry point through a compatible connected system. You can use the sensor on a front door to notice activity, on a window to see a change in its state, or on a drawer where knowing about an opening is useful. The sensing method follows the contact position rather than recording video of the surrounding space.

The connected app displays open or closed status, helping you see the condition of the monitored point from your phone. Voice-assistant support also allows status questions through a compatible Alexa or Google Assistant setup. These functions depend on the sensor being connected within the appropriate smart-home system.

The two white pieces have alignment marks that help you position them beside each other when the door or window is closed. Place one on the frame and the other on the moving section so normal movement separates them. Adhesive and instructions are supplied for installation, making the format useful where a small surface-mounted sensor is preferable to a larger accessory.

The main sensor measures approximately 5 × 2.5 × 1.1 cm. The smaller magnetic piece measures approximately 3 × 1.5 × 1 cm. Their compact, rounded bodies fit along an edge without occupying a large area of the door or frame.

This sensor is useful when you want opening information and remote status as part of a connected home setup. Its small contact-based design keeps the focus on the state of a particular door, window or drawer.
