Product Description
Add wireless phone integration and an Android app interface to a compatible factory car screen. This compact Android 13 box connects through the vehicle’s existing CarPlay USB connection, then supports wireless CarPlay for a compatible iPhone or wireless Android Auto for a compatible Android phone. It is designed for a vehicle with an original screen and factory wired CarPlay, giving you another way to use that screen without replacing the head unit.
Wireless phone integration can bring supported navigation, music, podcasts and calling functions to the car’s display. After initial setup, the phone connects wirelessly to the adapter rather than remaining attached by a phone cable. The box itself stays connected to the vehicle by USB.
The separate Android 13 platform provides access to the Play Store and compatible Android apps. Its hardware includes an Allwinner A133 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage for the system and installed content. App behaviour and media availability depend on the app, account and service involved; the Android interface and phone-projection interface offer different ways to use the screen.
WiFi and 4G connectivity provide internet connection capabilities for the box’s Android features. Online apps need a working internet connection. Offline media support offers another option for suitable stored content when an online connection is unavailable. Video entertainment is intended for use while parked.
On supported vehicle systems, controls can include the touchscreen, steering-wheel buttons and rotary controller, with sound played through the car’s original audio system. Siri voice control is supported through compatible CarPlay use. Split-screen functionality can place supported content beside another view rather than filling the whole display with one application.
Setup begins by connecting the box to the vehicle’s CarPlay USB interface and opening the CarPlay connection on the car screen. Phone connection then uses Bluetooth and the box’s wireless connection interface. The package includes the box, USB-C-to-USB-C and USB-A-to-USB-C cables, and a manual. Approximately 63 × 63 × 16 mm, the adapter takes up little console space while using a 5V USB connection.
